Juggling Exercise Balls for Cancer Awareness - Video Campaign

Playing By Air has launched an online video campaign celebrating a commitment to community and collaboration for all people touched by cancer. Featuring non-profit partners Juggling Life and Camp Quality, the video is a celebration of life, joy, and community with over 50 exercise balls!

The colors of the balls feature the many colors of cancer awareness ribbons, representing the importance of organizations working together to raise awareness and provide support for adults and children affected by all cancers.

Running Nationwide For Cancer Awareness… While Juggling!

Team Catch It Early adds energy and awareness at the Komen Race for The Cure

Playing By Air and jugglers nationwide will turn attention, and heads, toward cancer awareness by juggling while running in Race for the Cure events throughout the Fall.

The jugglers will raise awareness and funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure programs in their local communities while joining together to create a nationwide movement by “joggling.”

Joggling is the growing sport of juggling while running, which has received publicity recently for several world records that have been broken in 2011. Playing By Air's Team Catch It Early program coordinates hobbyists, athletes, and professional jugglers to joggle in cancer awareness races throughout the year.

Juggler Breaks World Record For Fastest 5K While Running For Cancer Awareness with Team Catch It Early

Juggler and athlete Bob Evans broke a 25-year-old world record for the fastest 5K while juggling with a time of 16:51 at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Evans juggled the entire race as part of Playing By Air's Team Catch It Early  movement that raises awareness for cancer prevention and survivorship through the art and sport of juggling.

On Saturday, October 29th, 2011, juggler Bob Evans ran 3.1 miles in 16 minutes and 51 seconds to set a world record for the fastest 5K while juggling three objects. Evans accomplished his record-breaking feat at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Nashville, Tennessee, to raise awareness for cancer prevention and survivorship.

Evans beat the previous record time of 16:55, which stood unbroken for over two decades.

Nashville Jugglers Perform at Event Fundraiser for Cancer Support & Pet Welfare

This weekend marked the third year that Playing By Air has partnered with the Lisa Ross Parker (LRP) Foundation to raise money for cancer support and animal welfare programs in Nashville, Tennessee. Playing By Air entertained the audience with juggling and circus acts as the event set an organizational record for money raised at the non-profit's silent auction. LRP is one of the many community programs supported through Playing By Air Cares and the company's corporate entertainment appearances.

About the Lisa Ross Parker Foundation:

The Lisa Ross Parker Foundation strives to charitably honor the legacy of Lisa Ross Parker by continuing to pursue her charitable passions, including (but not limited to) assisting and caring for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and other blood-related cancers, and their families. In addition, we continue Lisa’s legacy by assisting with charitable animal welfare and supporting other animal advocacy organizations that follow the same principles.

Celebrate Life with Laughter and Inspiration

"Laughter is the shortest distance between two people."  ~Victor Borge

Playing By Air's performances bring families and communities together through shared laughter and inspiration. For some audience members, attending the show is their first chance to genuinely laugh and smile in many months. As performers on stage, we are honored to share and enjoy this experience along with our audiences.

"Their act was as entertaining as anything I've seen at a Minnie Pearl retreat (and that's saying quite a lot). Tremendously inspiring, impressive, and amusing." - Event Participant

"Absolutely fabulous show today at the Celebration of Life at Nashville General Hospital. Your performances brought the child in my heart out to play with you in the air. What a gift of laughter and joy you brought! It was a truly magical experience. Thank you so very much! - Susan Benting, 3rd Year Breast Cancer Survivor.

"I so enjoyed the jugglers! They were entertaining as well as presenting a message that we are never given anything that we can’t handle by God. Juggling life, cancer, loved ones is truly a struggle and I believe that everyone else enjoyed as well." - Event Participant
